Raise me up

Its taken me a while to get stuck in to this trend but now im really loving it and cannot seem to get enough.

I'm obsessed with platform sandals or flatforms.

being honest I dont have a clue what the real word for them are, but either way all I know is that, that "type" of shoe is going to be making It's way in to my wardrobe.

I know I've been bigging up asos alot recently but their shoes at the moment have really blown me away, they've reached new heights by really getting out there and creating some quirky shoes that have been inprinting themselfs into my mind for the last 6 weeks.

However YRU have taken it to the extreme, along with Jeffrey Campbell by creating some crazy but amazing platform shoes I could just stare at for hours.

Bum bags and Fanny packs

Since seeing photos from Glastonbury a few weeks ago and wireless this weekend there is no doubt I’m getting in the mood for a beloved trip to asos online to order my own killer festival gear. Without a doubt I’m going to try and get my hands on a bum bag/fanny pack, whatever you want to call it because I hand on heart think they are awesome. Not only convenient but maybe even a little daring considering the comments I’ve had from friends on the idea of buying one, but never the less, although I may not pull it off, I’m determined not to be defeatist just yet and I’ve challenged myself to find the best I can without stretching the budget too much!

One of my favourite I’ve seen so far is by asos, embellished in sequins it screams fun and would add excitement to any festival outfit. However Swedish brand monki have brought out their own more classically styled bum bag in their usual, more urban style, which I love. There is no question, one of these beauties will definitely be carrying my phone and cash as I wonder round reading festival in august, but which one.

I dedicate my first post to...

My love at first sight Juju jellies. These shoes were the ultimate travel back in time for me; the sound of them tapping against the floor as I walked made me feel like a four year old again in my pink glittery pair I used to adore. From the minute I saw them my heart skipped probably about 6 beats and they were added to the 173 items on my asos saved list and immediately bumped up to the top of the page ready to be purchased on my next pay day the following Friday. Whilst tottering around in them, my bargain pair of boohoo mom jeans and a scrunchy that was probably bought by my mother 10 years before I was even conceived, my dad told me I looked like I just stepped out of the 80s, he probably meant to take the piss but the comment made my day. I'd never felt so cool and confident in all my life, which sounds silly but it’s probably why I love them so much and worn them almost every day since my favourite delivery lady left them in the recycling bin for me to find when I woke up that morning.

To my surprise and delight these 80s classics have turned a full circle from being so uncool 12 months ago to the shoes everyone wants. The recent 'socks and sandals' trend has also followed along side, which believe me I NEVER saw coming! Juju offer so much more excitement than I've seen for a while and the fact I only discovered them around 3 months ago makes me feel so cheated. I can’t wait to get my hand on another pair of these magnificent shoes. Bright  pink, pale blue, glittery? It might have to be one of each; I've come to love them all.
